Oregano Essential Oil

 Oregano essential oil
is considered to be a fine liposoluble substance and a natural laxative for the liver and blood;
it drops the level of blood sugar and it helps treat prostatitis. More specifically, according to research, it
exhibits the potential to destroy cancer cells, like the ones of the prostate. Also, in combination with other kinds of essence, it can treat arthritic, rheumatic, nuchal and muscle pain, as well as tendonitis. What is
more, oregano oil can treat fungal infections of the skin and nails, gingivitis and sores in the mouth. For epidermic fungal infections, apply some oregano oil mixed with almond oil, baby-oil or any other oil. If it
feels itchy, it is a good sign. For fungal infections on nails, first clean the problematic area thoroughly and
file the nail. Then, apply one drop of oregano oil straight onto the nail – not around it! You may re-apply
up to 10 times a day. The first results of the treatment will become immediately obvious, but the treatment itself may last quite some time, depending on the condition and the severity of the infection. For gingivitis
and sores in the mouth, brush your teeth 3 times a day, adding one drop of oregano oil to a toothbrush
with toothpaste on. Try to keep the foam in your mouth for as long as possible and try not to spit it too quickly.

Oregano oil is an effective treatment for stomach and intestine problems – such as the feeling of inflation, ulcer, colitis nerviosa, gastroenteritis, etc. It is recommended that we consume two drops of oregano oil mixed with one tablespoon of olive oil on a daily basis, three times a day (in the morning, at noon and at night). In cases of ulcer, gastritis or G.O.R.D. which are considered to be internal wounds, we can
replace olive oil with St John’s Wort oil. In any other case, we can also drink oregano oil mixed with
water: add two drops of oregano oil in a small cup filled with water and drink it all at once, trying not to
let it touch the lips, as they are too sensitive. Immediately after that, drink one full glass of water. If you experience a light burn or numbness on the lips, do not worry as it will soon fade away.

In cases of respiratory infections or disease (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, influenza, the
common flu, whoop, plain or smoking-induced cough, asthma, allergic rhinitis and many others), oregano oil can be used as mentioned above. However, it will be most beneficial if it is consumed with hot tea; when the tea is hot enough, add a drop of oregano oil to it and take a sip. Due to the warm temperature of the tea, the essence of the oil is released into the air and inhaled through the nose to the larynx, thus destroying any microbes. It may be a slightly unpleasant procedure at the time; nevertheless, it brings immediate relief from all the symptoms. However, if consuming oregano oil with hot tea is not an option, pour the mixture into a small cup and drink it in shots. Alternatively, try inhaling the essence of oregano oil by adding 2-3 drops in a bowl of boiling water (inhale through the mouth and the nose). Treatment should last for 20 days. Then stop it for 5 days and, if necessary, repeat the procedure. In the case of stomach problems, 20 days are definitely not enough, as it may take up to one year to complete the treatment, depending on the severity of the condition.

Furthermore, oregano oil is very beneficial for plants and animals. It can destroy both the fungi and the parasites of plants. It is suitable for spraying biologically-grown vegetables and it has been proven to effectively destroy the olive fruit fly. To spray against the olive fly, the oregano oil musty be dissolved into vodka; oregano emulsion can be used instead, which can be dissolved into water and is a significantly cost-effective option. In the case of animals, oregano oil can be used against fleas by spraying the fur of
the animal or by adding it to their shampoo; it can also kill endo-parasites if added to the animal’s food.
Last but not least, we can use oregano oil to protect ourselves from a cold or a viral infection, simply by consuming 1-2 drops in the morning. It is advised that oregano oil is consumed 1-2 hours before or after meal-time. However, notice that children must not drink it – only inhale it – and it should not be consumed
by pregnant women. Also, women who deal with iron-deficiency are advised to consume the oregano oil 1-2 hours before or after meal-time, in order to be adequately and properly metabolized by their system,
as the only drawback of oregano oil is its ability to retain iron.

Do not drink if pregnant
