Thyme Essential Oil

The name is derived from the Greek ancient word 'thymos'  and was used as an incense in Greek temples.The health benefits of thyme essential oil can be attributed to its 
properties as an antispasmodic, antirheumatic, antiseptic, bactericidal,
bechic, cardiac, carminative, cicatrisant, diuretic, emenagogue,expectorant, hypertensive, insecticide, stimulant, tonic and vermifuge 
substance. It acts as a memory booster and an antidepressant. It helps
to increase concentration and also helps to cure sinusitis, bronchitis,
anorexia, cellulite, eczema.
 As a blended massage oil it can assist with arthritis, bronchitis, colds, flu, coughs, gout, bruises, eczema, mucus congestion, muscular aches and pains, obesity and rheumatism.
arthritis - Mix ten drops with a pint of water and use as compress over inflamed joints.
 Thyme essential oil can be used to keep away insect pests such as mosquitoes, fleas, lice, bed-bugs, beetles, and moths. Add to body lotions or make a spray by diluting the oil with water. Shake well before use.

 Do not use thyme essential oil in cases of high blood pressure. Do not use thyme essential oil during pregnancy.
